FAQ

Dog Photoshoot FAQ
What happens if my dog misbehaves?

Oh that’s often part of their charm isn’t it and actually we can capture some of the best images when they are happily doing their own thing!  We have plenty of time, I never clock watch and we can try different locations, different positions and keep it fun and moving along if necessary. Equally if your dog is older and needs to rest more, that’s fine too. Gentle relaxing shots are gorgeous.

If your dog doesn’t have reliable recall, we won’t let him off the lead anywhere that’s not secure. If he is nervous, anxious or aggressive around other dogs, we will find a quiet, secluded location – perhaps your garden!  We can chat through any specific issues in our pre-shoot consultation so that we are fully prepared on the day itself.

What happens if it rains?

I will keep a close eye on the weather forecast and give you a call a couple of days before the session.

I’m always happy to postpone a shoot if it looks like it’s going to pour down or be too windy. It doesn’t matter how many times we re-schedule, what does matter is that we work in the best conditions for producing memorable images.

I don’t like having my picture taken!

This is a very common concern and one that is easily solved. We can concentrate mostly on capturing wonderful images of your dog. There are plenty of ways of capturing the connection between you both without you having to look at the camera. But, trust me, most people who say they don’t want to be photographed end up loving it!
